Review: Raven's Hollow (Video 2011)

First I´d like to thank Colin Clarke for reaching out and contacting me.
Billy (Gavin Phillips), his sister Lisa (Stephanie Pax) , and her boyfriend Mike (Travis Worthey), spend a night at a drive-in theater after trick-or-treating on Halloween. When Billy threatens to walk home through an old cornfield, Mike tells him a legend of Old Farmer Blood, who is said to have seeded his field with the blood of murder victims. When Billy disbelieves, Mike leads the trio into a nightmare of unrelenting terror. Raven's Hollow is written by Marc Packard and Colin Clarke who also is the director and one of the animators. It´s a short film made primarily using computer rendered animation which for the most part looks good (I´m not one who automatically dismisses cgi animation). The voice acting is pretty good and I love the soundtrack! There are some really nice, atmospheric, moments in Raven's Hollow and Colin knows how to use the enviroment to good effect, the old cornfield and so on. There´s some gore, no T & A in this even though the character Lisa wears a very skimpy outfit.
This review is based upon a online source uploaded by Colin Clarke. For more information on Raven´s Hollow and to watch it please visit the official website

Rating: 6 out of 7. It´s a good looking, sweet and effective 11 minutes long short film. Colin Clarke is shows great talent and it is quite amazing that this was made entirely on home computers utilizing off-the-shelf software. I look forward to see more of Colin Clarke´s work in the future.
