DVD review: Paris by Night of the Living Dead (2009)
A handsome Frenchman (David Saracino) and a gorgeous French woman (Karina Testa) are getting married. Suddenly the priest is attacked by zombies. Paris by Night of the Living Dead is written by David Neiss and directed by Grégory Morin. The plot is minimal but here is plenty of action and gore during the 9 minutes of running time (without credits). There are a lot of special fx, some practical but they rely very heavily on computer generated effects, some are good and some are pretty bad, which give me as a old school fan not so much. The acting is decent and the film is nicely shot and edited.
This review is based on the region 2 DVD released by Anolis in Germany, it´s uncut, you can choose between german or french audiotrack, there are german subtitles available but don´t worry there is hardly any dialogue spoken.
Rating: 2 out of 7. Paris by Night of the Living Dead is non stop action reminiscent of the Resident Evil films so it´s either "love it" or "hate it". Karina Testa is very good looking and is a pleasure to look at..
