DVD: Zombie Warrior (2006)

After the unexpected death of his wife Jose Sanchez (Daniel Flügger) is devastated. As he mourns at her grave one night, she rises from the undead, and is rapidly joined by other zombies. Jose is facing a lonely battle ...Zombie Warrior is a short film (runnning time 14 minues) written by Dennis Klose and Daniel Flügger who also is the director and it practically non stop action and mayhem. Good camera work and editing. The acting is decent and the pacing is high. Truth is that Daniel Flügger avoids lengthy dialogue passages which, instead he focus on action. The soundtrack is appropriate. There are some very well done gore effects, which are naturally practical fx created by Stefan Svahn but there is also computer generated muzzleflashes and explosions. There are some more CGI but if I tell you I´m gonna spoil the film for you and I hate spoilers...
This review is based on the DVD released by Maximum Uncut Productions, it´s uncut and german laguage only but there is hardly any dialogue.. There are three bonus films included on the DVD: In Bad Night a young wife has really drawn the short straw, the Zombie Hunter is a master of his craft and Stefan Svahn´s Kill Zone, everything revolves around a young man who wants to avenge his brother.
Rating: 5½ out of 7. Zombie Warrior is short, crisp zombie action, which definitely makes you want more. It gets my recommendation.
