DVD review: Alien Armageddon (2011)
For years, UFO sightings have been documented around the world. What were once mere sightings have now become brutal attacks of epic proportions. As the human race faces total annihilation with every major city destroyed, only Los Angeles remains. Left with the task of saving humanity from extinction, a group of cowboys is the world´s last stand in this Alien Armageddon. Alien Armageddon is written and directed by Neil Johnson. Atrociously bad acting, semidecent camera work and editing but the soundtrack is pretty good. The actionsequences are really poor and uninspired and consists mosty of ridiculousy bad shootouts. A lot of amateurish looking computer generated special fx in the form of spaceship, explosions, muzzleflashes and squibs. There is a little, and I mean little, gore towards the ending of the film but it is also computer gendered. There are a few practical creature make-up fx which looks pretty good. No T & A and this one.
This review is based upon the region 1 DVD release from Phase 4 Films.
Rating: 0½ out of 7. OMFG Alien Armageddon is really bad, even if it has a running time of just 95 minutes it feels overlong and boring. Don't waste your money on this.
