DVD review: The Dead Don't Scream (2007)
A group of college students is on a road trip to hell. When they stumble upon a small Texas town with an entire economy based upon stealing cars, it is unfortunate for them that cars aren´t the only things getting chopped. Will anyone survive or will they all succumb to the fate that is passed on to them? The Dead Don't Scream is written and directed by Richard C. Perrin. This flick is a mess featuring horrible and in some cases even abysmal acting. Much of the dialogue is just annoying. The camerawork and editing is decent. The soundtrack is bad... Add to this that it isn´t even remotely scary and actually is just plain boring. Most of the gore is amateurish, but there is one or two exceptions that actually looks pretty good, and some of the killings occur off screen. In the T & A department there are a couple of scenes of topless nudity.
This review is based upon the region 1 DVD release from Celebrity Video Distribution.
Rating: 0 out of 7. The Dead Don't Scream was a painful experience but somehow I made it through the whole flick. I can´t find a single redeeming thing to mention about this flick. This is possibly one of the worst movies I´ve ever seen... It's not worth your money or your time.
