Review: The Puppet Monster Massacre (Video 2010)

First I´d like to thank Dustin Mills for providing me with a online screener.
A group of teens are challenged to spend a night in the Wagner mansion on the edge of town. Little do they know the owner (Dr. Wolfgang Wagner) has concocted a monstrosity in the basement and plans to make the hapless teens the creature's first big meal. The Puppet Monster Massacre is written and directed by Dustin Mills. The voice-overs are good, the puppet work is good, it´s nicely shot and edited. It successfully mixes comedy and horror and I found some scenes to be very funny and I was smiling throughout the whole flick. There is plenty of gore, we get decapitations and disembowelments and much more but some of the killings do occur off screen. In the T & A department we get some topless puppet nudity.
This review is a based upon a online screener supplied by the director.

Rating: 5 out of 7. Funny and entertaining but most probably not for everybody. I´m a sucker for animation, puppets and miniatures so seeing this makes me happy. Definitely worth a watch if you are a fan of  South Park, Team America: World Police and Peter Jackson's Meet The Feebles!
