DVD review: Stash (2007)
Bud's (Kevin Taylor) a good ole' boy brought up on Bluegrass and Moonshine. While supplying the surrounding counties with its Marijuana supply, Bud has a hefty growing operation. However, this is not Bud's only secret. He has a much darker one. One that lies trapped under his cabin in the rural hills of Eastern Kentucky. What will happen when two people stand in the way of everything Bud has worked for? How much blood will have to spill? Stash is written and directed by Jacob Ennis. Poor acting from most of the cast, Kevin Taylor´s character is actually more annoying than frightening and that´s not a good thing. And that he keeps screaming "Shazaam" every time he gets an orgasm just cracks me up. Debbie Rochon plays the mother of the first abducted girl and is a stunner as always The camerawork and editing is decent. The soundtrack is pretty decent. There is no gore in this. There is some T & A including full frontal nudity but I guess that Karen Boles, the lead character, had no-nudity written in the contract as she gets to keep her underwear on while all other of Buds victims are nude..
This review is based upon the region 1 DVD release from Bloody Earth Films.
Rating: 0½ out of 7. Stash had some great potential to be a really gritty and sleazy exploitation flick but it ended up being boring and lame. I can´t recommend this, my copy will get a place in my shelf amongst the DVD´s I'll never want to watch again.
