Review: Crestfallen (2011)
First I´d like to thank Jeremiah Kipp for contacting me and providing me with a screener.
When Lo (Deneen Melody) has her life come crashing down on top of her, she makes the impulsive decision to end her own life. Now with her health hanging in the balance, she questions her decision. With every drop of blood rippling in to a new memory, will the bad ones take her life, or will the good ones overpower them? Crestfallen is written by Russ Penning and directed by Jeremiah Kipp. The acting is good, this is very much a Deneen Melody flick and she is very good and gives a impressive and very emotional performance using her eyes, facial expressions and body. It´s beautifully shot and edited. It is a dialogue free short film and I love the Harry Manfredini composed soundtrack. There is no gore in this, there is both T & A and a sex scene which appears in a flashback.
This review is based upon online screener provided by Jeremiah Kipp.
Rating: 6 out of 7. Crestfallen is a well made and powerful 6 minutes long short film. Deneen Melody is impressive especially considering that she´s the main focus of the dialogue free film, and I will make an effort to check out more of the flicks she has acted in. I look forward to see more from the very talented Jeremiah Kipp.
